Hello from the Desk of the School Community Council:
The School Community Council is made up of all the parents whose children attend Osborne School as well as all the the principal and a staff liaison. The SCC is made up of an elected executive: Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer, each for a 2-year term. Our president is Chelsea Jackson and Vice Chairperson is Beth Montgomery. All parents are invited to attend our meetings as well as stand for executive positions. Your child enjoys many extras during the school year due to the efforts and commitment of the School Community Council. Some of these include:
~Harvest Dinner~Christmas treat bags~ Harvestfest Howl ~ Skate/Movie Night ~Year-end BBQ~Family Fun Night~ Rink improvements~Funding for various school trips as well as other items for the school.
The School Community Council meets 7 times per school year usually the 3rd Monday of Sept., Oct., Nov., Jan., March, April and May at the school.
